Leadership Personal Success New Food Pyramid So what should we really be eating? Earlier this year the US Department of Agriculture retired the old Food Guide Pyramid and replaced it with MyPyramid, a new symbol and "interactive food guidance system." The new symbol is basically the old Pyramid turned on its side. Libraries New 1stReads System Enables Book Donations to Libraries
1stReads , is the subscription-based system which allows libraries to generate “wish lists” of ISBNs and quantities of books that they would add to their collections if they could afford them. Libraries set donation levels for individual titles, perhaps little more than the trade price offered by their vendors. Donors can then visit the 1stReads site to purchase these books for their libraries at prices substantially below retail. A second round of beta testing will begin in August 2005.
