One idea is to have children make a cube (about 6" - 8") or cover a
cube-shaped box with white paper. Have the children write one fact
about spiders on each face and illustrate it - or find a photo /
clip/line art and paste it on the cube under the fact.
Have students create a diorama showing a scene from Charlotte's Web. Or a
shadow box. Kids think they're cool!
maybe you could suggest a "what if?" involving the idea of the world wide
web/Charlotte's web?
Excuse the pun, but they could do a webquest. The end product could be a
class webpage detailing different facts they have learned about
spiders like the various kinds out there or their habitats. If the
teachers would like to do Charlotte's Web strictly, students could
create artwork to go with what they've discovered in their research
like facts about E.B. White or their responses to the book. That
language arts product could still be culminated with a class web
page.
